Three arrested in possession of crores worth of agarwood

Three people have been arrested with crores worth of agarwood in Delhi, India. The three people were arrested at Delhi airport and were trying to smuggle crores of rupees worth of agarwood to Kuwai.

The Delhi Zonal Unit of Narcotics Control Bureau seized about 71 Kg of high quality Agarwoods worth crores from three people- Mohammed Somsul Islam, Mohammed Helal Uddin and Mohibur Rahman- in the security hold area of IGI airport, New Delhi.

The three people were travelling to Kuwait by boarding a connecting flight from Delhi to Mumbai for the onward journey. Agarwood is on the list of restricted items which cannot be exported from India.

The investigation is ongoing.
